TRA: Environmental Scientist I
The Trinity River Authority of Texas is in search of an Environmental Scientist I
in their Technical Services and Basin Planning division in Euless. This position is
primarily responsible for field activities and environmental data analysis. It is
permanent, full-time, and requires the ability to make sound decisions under stress,
to function independently or as part of a team, and to quickly learn and apply new
skills. The environmental scientist significantly contributes to study planning efforts,
preparation, and execution of field activities, as well as data management and analysis.
TSSWCB: Natural Resources Specialist III - San Angelo
The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board is seeking applicants for a Natural Resources Specialist III in San Angelo to perform
highly complex level agronomic work in the statewide soil and water conservation and
nonpoint source pollution abatement programs. Serves as agronomist for the regional
office and performs assignments and provides support in planning, design, management,
and implementation of programs and practices related to agency responsibilities in
soil and water conservation, agricultural and silvicultural nonpoint source pollution
management, animal waste management, and other areas.

Natural Resource Specialist IV: Conservation Planner - West Texas
The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board is seeking applicants to serve as Climate-Smart Conservation Planners in support
of the Texas Climate-Smart Initiative (TCSI). The TCSI is a statewide multiagency
initiative lead by Texas A&M AgriLife Research that is seeking to incentivize climate-smart
conservation practice implementation across the state. Funding for these temporary
positions will terminate on May 29, 2028, along with the positions.

NASA DEVELOP National Program
Ten-week paid research opportunities open to current students and recent college graduates
as well as transitioning/early career professionals. This is a great opportunity for
participants who are interested in practical applications of remote sensing and GIS,
specifically in the field of Earth Science. Participants will work with NASA scientists,
partner organizations, and science advisors to learn about the use of NASA Earth science
data for use in water resources, disaster management, ecological conservation, and
other applications to address environmental community concerns.

NOAA Sea Grant: John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship
This fellowship offers a unique educational experience to graduate and professional
students who have an interest in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources and in
the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The program matches the students
with hosts in the legislative or executive branch of the federal government for a
one-year, paid fellowship (13-month award term) in the Washington, D.C. area.
