Girl Scout Badge Classes – Pearland Campus

The UHCL Center for Educational Programs is excited to offer classes to local Girl Scout troops. The program is extending STEM classes to Girl Scout troops of all levels. Participants will have the opportunity to earn three badges through these educational sessions.

This class is held on the UHCL -  Pearland Campus located at 1200 Pearland Pkwy. Pearland, TX 77581.

Spring 2024 – Coding for Good

Welcome to the world of computer coding!

In this class, you will learn:

• How programmers write the code that make the digital world work.
• How computer games and apps can be used to help people learn new things; how computers make decisions.
• How game makers use open-ended stories to move players through games.
• About female leaders and their contributions in the field of computer science.
• Earn three badges - Coding Basics, Digital Game Design, and App Development
• Classes offered on Saturdays from 9 am – 12 pm
• $30 per Scout

No refunds will be given. However, a credit will be issued to be used for future Girl Scout class offerings.
