Stay Healthy, Hawks: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

Important COVID-19 Update

Veteran Services will be offering services in person, via email and online.

Due to limited staffing, we are asking that you please call, 281-283-3071, or email, vso@uhcl.edu, prior to stopping by our office.

Resident Courses

Will resident courses (face-to-face, or hybrid courses with a face-to-face component) that have been converted to online impact my Monthly Housing Allowance?

Based on Senate Bill 3503, which was signed into law March 21, 2020, changes in course modality will not be submitted to the VA when conversion due to COVID-19 precautions is the only factor. This special authority is approved from March 1, 2020 through December 21, 2020.

Note: Other changes in enrollment status (non-COVID-19 related) must still be reported and may affect payments.
