Still Have a Question?
Some of your questions may be answered below, but if you still have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
While we are excited that you would like to continue meeting as an organization, as an institution we have asked students to not come to campus unless absolutely necessary. So in an effort to support you and your organization(s) in this endeavor, please reach out to Student Involvement and Leadership staff so that they can assist you in replacing your regular in-person meetings with other possible formats. Please do not come to campus unless you absolutely need to.
All campus events have been canceled through May 31. This extends to all Student Organization events as well. You will receive an email notification with an official cancellation. Please go ahead and work with your advisor or office staff to make sure that all speakers, etc. are canceled.
At this point, online examinations will run at least until May 2. Between March 23 and May 2 faculty will employ various ways to assess learning. These include but are not limited to ProctorU-based online exams where students will not have to pay, online exams, take home exams and other non-exam assessments of learning.
Proctored exams will go through ProctorU. Some students are being asked to pay for taking a ProctorULive+ exam. Students should make payment so that they can take the online exam. UHCL will make certain that any student who prepaid or paid for a ProctorU online exam given after March 23 will receive a refund.
All laboratory classes will move to an online or alternative format. If you are conducting research, your faculty instructor will be informing you how that research will continue during this “Stay Home Work Safe” order.
Each faculty member in individual courses will make that determination. Faculty will update their syllabi to meet the learning goals of the course.
What refunds are being offered to students now that classes have gone online? Please see Cost and Aid Payment Information resource for more details.
Your job and pay are secure if you continue to work remotely as agreed upon with your supervisor. If you have not done so already, please connect with your supervisor for details and to develop any necessary off-site work arrangements.
If you have not done so already please reach out to your supervisor and to the Student Financial Aid Office. The Student Financial Aid Office can be reached via email at email@example.com.
At this time, all study abroad programs have been cancelled for the spring 2020 semester and the summer 2020 programs are pending.
