Biography
Alexis Nwagui directs various projects that contribute to the overall mission and goals of the Strategic Partnerships program including, student programming, liaising with chambers and other external organizations, and coordinating Clear Lake Association of Senior Programs (CLASP) events. One of her greatest personal and professional accomplishments was being selected to complete an internship with the Library of Congress in Washington, DC as part of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and University (HACU) National Internship Program. Prior to joining UHCL, Alexis worked as a shared educational planner and recruiter/educational planner at San Jacinto College where she assisted hundreds of students and their families with accessing higher education. Alexis earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi; it was during this time that she discovered her passion for higher education while serving as a student employee. She later went on to receive her Master of Science in Multicultural Studies in Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
