Anton V. Dubrovskiy, Ph.D.
Program Chair of Chemistry and Assistant Professor of Chemistry,
College of Science and Engineering
Dr. Anton Dubrovskiy received his Ph.D. from Iowa State University where he studied reactivity of highly reactive aryne intermediates. Following postdoctoral work at the California Institute of Technology in the area of total synthesis, he joined the chemistry faculty at University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2014 as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. He is one of the coauthors for the newest edition of a book "Larock's Comprehensive Organic Transformations."
His research interests include development of synthetic organic methods, synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocycles, synthesis of small bioactive molecules, and chemistry education.
Dr. Dubrovskiy currently serves as the Program Chair of Chemistry.
