Faculty Development Leave
Due to COVID-19 and the opening of fall semester under Code 1, the Faculty Development Leave for 2020-21 will follow the same timeline as 2019-20 which is shown below.
- End of October: Deans inform FDL eligible faculty.
- December 15 Deadline: Proposals are due to the FDL Committee Chair and Dean in each college
- By February 1: FDL committee chairs will forward recommendations to Dean
- By March 1: The Dean of each college may nominate up to the maximum number of funded proposals and shall forward those nominations to the Senior Vice President and Provost. In 2020-21 the maximum number is: CoB (3), CoE (2), CSE (4) and HSH (4). [Faculty handbook Section 7.10 subsection 03.02]
- By April 15: Provost will inform colleges of final approval of Faculty Development Leave applications and provide faculty with an FDL agreement for signature.
