R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense)

Since May 2009, the UHCL Police Department's RAD Team has instructed 20 RAD classes on campus with over 450 graduates. These graduates consist of students, staff, faculty, student family members and Clear Lake residents.

The UHCL Police Department is hosting a women's self-defense class, called RAD (RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENSE).  This course is nationally acclaimed and teaches women self-awareness, basic self-defense measures, and builds confidence among its graduates.  For more information about the RAD curriculum , visit www.rad-systems.com.

This class is absolutely FREE to all students, employees, family members, alumni and Clear Lake community members.  The only investment necessary is your time. You must attend both days to graduate. Graduates are always welcome to return to any class to practice their skills.

The class will be held at the University of Houston Clear Lake – Police Department Building, at 700 Bayou Rd., Pasadena, TX 77058.

To register for the course, please email RAD@uhcl.edu.

We typically offer this course only twice per year, so if you have an interest, now is the time.
