Biography

David Day received his B.A. in English from the University of Oklahoma in 1981, his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1984, and his doctorate in English from Rice University in 1992.

A senior lecturer in the College of Human Sciences and Humanities, he serves a dual appointment, teaching half his courses in the Literature program and half in the Writing program.  He teaches a variety of courses for both programs in English and European literature and in composition and rhetoric, on the graduate and undergraduate levels.  His research focuses on Old and Middle English literature, women's literature in the Middle Ages, and the influence of law on medieval literature.
