Biography

Cynthya Campbell Palmer is the director of the Psychological Services Clinic as well as a clinical assistant professor in the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Loyola University Chicago with a specialization in children and adolescents. Palmer completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

She has years of experience providing various psychological services including individual, family and trauma-focused therapy with adults and children. Palmer has also facilitated support groups, administered neurocognitive assessments and conducted behavioral health consultations. She has supervised pre-doctoral students in APA accredited internship programs as well as postdoctoral fellows and licensed-eligible clinicians in pediatric psychology, child and adult psychotherapy and behavioral health consultation. Palmer is currently licensed in Texas and Illinois.
