Face Coverings
Based on Governor Abbott's Executive Order, and with guidance from the UH System Office, University of Houston-Clear Lake will no longer require masks or other face coverings while on campus. However, face coverings are available to UHCL employees, visitors, and students.
Face coverings are strongly encouraged in the following circumstances:
- Indoor public areas on campus, even if you are alone. This includes all non-private office or residential spaces, such as lobbies, restrooms, classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, common spaces in residence halls, conference rooms, and break rooms; and
- Outdoor spaces where six feet or more of physical distancing is difficult to reliably maintain.
