Dear Faculty and Staff:
UH-Clear Lake is taking extraordinary steps to minimize the possibility of our students, faculty, and staff contracting COVID-19. This is being done while also making every effort to continue instructional activities and student services.
As outlined in President Blake’s message last week and in response to city and county emergency health declarations, we will be transitioning all classes to an online or alternative format in an effort to limit large gatherings and to practice social distancing. No face-to-face classes will be offered at UH-Clear Lake, UH-Clear Lake at Pearland or any off-campus locations.
This week, the university will prepare for the transition to online delivery of classes, which will begin Monday, March 23 and last at least through Saturday, May 2.
If you would like to help students during this transition, the Hawk Food Pantry is in need of various items, including water, hand soap, dishwashing soap, and toilet paper. We encourage you to donate whatever items you can. You can also donate to the Hawk Emergency Fund.
As we navigate through these challenging circumstances together, it is imperative that we continue to deliver the highest quality of education regardless of the format. Monitor your UH-Clear Lake email as well as the UHCL Health Alert web pages.
If you have more questions, please contact your supervisor.
