Office of Diversity and Inclusion

University of Houston-Clear Lake embraces inclusion and cultivates diversity at all levels of the institution. Since 2010, UH-Clear-Lake has been designated as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) and Hispanic Serving Institute (HSI). We welcome students, staff, faculty, and partners of different nationalities, races, ethnicities, ages, religions, gender identifies and expressions, sexual orientations, and physical and mental abilities into our family.

We value identify through the lens of intersectionality and strive to create an inclusive community that develops well-rounded individuals who contribute to the global society. Our contributions, creativity, lived experiences, and vibrant diversity enrich our classrooms, our communities, and the world at large.

The Mission of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is to actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as vitally important to its present and future success striving to create an environment where students, faculty, and staff are valued, empowered, and recognized for their individual contributions to a diverse institution.

Vision

What we want to become. The vision of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is to support an inclusive and equitable UHCL community, where fairness and justice are embedded within the institutional fabric.
