About the Diplomacy Institute

The Diplomacy Institute emerged as a result of many years of collaborating, working, and training Qatari diplomats, staff, and students by UHCL's Associate Vice President of Global Learning and Strategy and Senior International Officer, Dr. Gigi Do. Over the years, many types of services were provided to consul generals and their staff, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Supreme Education Council. These services in turn resulted in ongoing relationships and partnerships that have persisted to this day and created the opportunity for the development of the Diplomacy Institute. It is noteworthy that other major institutions of higher education have a significant presence in Qatar in Education City, including Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, Texas A&M, and Harvard.
