Description of Job

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Will be responsible for supporting Bay Area Turning Point's Volunteer Program.
  • Assist Volunteer Services Manager with executing BATP's volunteer recruitment strategy.
  • Facilitate volunteer orientations; including, but not limited to: scheduling potential volunteers for training, sending reminder emails, and preparing orientation packets.
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries (via phone and email).
  • Create volunteer recruitment flyers and deliver to local establishments when needed.
  • Particiapte in variou scommunity events where there is potential to gain new volunteers.

Compliance

  • Data entry clerk will support the compliance department in meeting deadlines set forth by funders externally and the agency internally.
  • Ever data collected on BATP's hotline form, client files, and client surveys into the agency's database.
  • Fill information as needed.
  • Shred information as needed.
  • Move files into boxes and/or the archive room as needed.
Qualifications or Preferences

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize a changing workload.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to model positive attitude, engage with community members, and to work as a team player.
  • Ability to demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign would be a bonus - Not required.
