  • Eligibility: All high school seniors, graduating in 2022 from the state of Texas, are eligible to apply. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Amount: $5000

  • Eligibility: All high school students are eligible to apply. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Amount: $1,000

  • Eligibility: All high school students are eligible to apply. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
  • Amount: $500

Business Majors

ABPW/Rosemary Pledger

  • Eligibility: Any degree in the College of Business. Must be female interested in pursuing a career in Business and/or Public Administration
  • GPA: High academic merit
  • Status: Undergraduate enrolled in at least 6 hours / Graduate enrolled in at least 5 hours. Preference given to women reentering the workforce and have demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Financial Need: Will be a factor (you will be required to submit a FAFSA  by the UHCL priority deadline of March 15th)
  • Additional Documentation: Achievement List - Submit a list of honors, awards, achievements, volunteer services for UHCL and or your community

Lightfoot/Johns Family

  • Major: Accounting
  • GPA: No specific requirement but will be a factor
  • Status: Undergraduate minimum 6 hours enrollment or Graduate minimum 5 hours enrollment. Preference given to single parents with custody of children living at home
  • Financial Need: Will be a factor (you will be required to submit a FAFSA at by the UHCL priority deadline of March 15th)
  • Additional Documentation: Brief paragraph about your children

Education Majors

ABPW/Carrie Lee Warren

  • Major: Education
  • GPA: Outstanding merit
  • Status: Must be a female pursuing a career in public school education
  • Financial Need: Will not be a factor

Health Care Majors

Pacific Medical Training Essay Contest

  • Eligibility:
    • Any undergraduate or graduate college student currently enrolled in a healthcare degree program may apply
    • Proof of enrollment in a qualifying degree program may be required for eligibility
    • Applicants must complete the 750 to 1000-word essay
  • Amount: $1000
  • Application Deadline: November 1, 2022

Science Majors

Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program

  • Eligibility:
    • Enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. student at an accredited college or university.
    • Major in a science-related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology.
    • Applicant must possess a GPA (grade point average) of 3.0 or higher.
    • Applicants must complete the 800 to 1000-word essay or PowerPoint of 10-12 pages
  • Amount: $1000
  • Application Deadline: September 30, 2022

Lasting Impression Regenerative Medicine Scholarship

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicants must be at least 18 years or older
    • Applicants must be U.S. citizens
    • Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5
    • Applicants must be enrolled in/accepted by an accredited college or university
    • Applicants must complete the 1200-word essay
  • Amount: $1500
  • Application Deadline: December 31, 2022 by 4:00 PM CT

Pacific Bay Recovery Scholarship

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Applicant must be an American citizen.
    • Applicant must possess a GPA (grade point average) of 2.5 or higher.
    • Applicant must show proof of current enrollment at a university, accredited college or community college OR provide proof of acceptance from a university, accredited college or community college.
    • Applicant will submit a 1000+ word essay that is 100% unique and original by the deadline of December 31, 2022.
  • Amount: $1500
  • Application Deadline: December 31, 2022
