As the Time Collection Devices (TCD) system contract neared its end, Human Resources encountered the challenge of tracking hourly employees and integrating this data with Peoplesoft. To address this need, Erika DeLeon, Director of HR Operations and Carmen Canales, Payroll Manager, initiated a project with the Project Management Office. Approximately 20 iPads were deployed across the UHCL campus, remotely controlled and dedicated exclusively to running the Web-Based Time Clock Software. It was accompanied by testing and training sessions for users. The decision to adopt iPads and implement a secure locking mechanism not only streamlined processes but also resulted in substantial cost savings. We extend heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this project.
