UHCL Class Ring
Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk
You worked smart. You learned. You made memories. Like the 77,000+ alumni who came
before, you’ll be a proud Hawk forever. This class ring is more than a symbol. It
shows the world what you’ve accomplished, how you’ve soared, and what you’ve conquered.
Your journey is just beginning, so take a piece of University of Houston–Clear Lake.
When a student receives the ring as an undergraduate, they wear it with the logo facing
the heart to inspire and motivate academic success. Tradition is not just about what
each class receives from UH-Clear Lake, but rather about what they leave behind. Upon
graduation, as new alumni move the tassel on their caps from left to right, they should
turn their rings so that the UHCL faces outward. The official UHCL class ring then
becomes a visible, tangible symbol of the ever-present bond between UHCL and its graduates.
Ring Week: September 19-21
Herff Jones will be on campus in the Bayou Building, Atrium I, to sell class rings to qualifying students on September 19-20 from 1-5 p.m. and September 21 at 11 a.m-5 p.m. Stop by to figure out your size and get your order in! We recommend ordering your class ring during Ring Week so that we can guarantee that it will be available by the Ring Ceremony on November 30. Rings can also be ordered online, but orders must be placed by Tuesday, September 26, to arrive on time for the Ring Ceremony.
Ring Ceremony: November 30
The Ring Ceremony is held every fall to present those students who have attained junior
status with their UHCL class rings and to share the moment with family and friends.
Each recipient’s name is penned into the Ring Ceremony program, a record of those
who have received the official class ring. Reservations for participants and guests
are required. The fall ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 30, in the Bayou
Building, Atrium II.
Invitations will be mailed out to students who will be receiving rings. Pictures are
welcome, so please remember to bring your cameras. The presentation of rings is followed
by a reception. Dress for the event is business casual.
