Earning your Master of Science in Educational Management from the nationally recognized program at University of Houston-Clear Lake will provide you with innovative and workable solutions to relevant educational challenges. Providing a blend of academic and fieldwork experiences, this course of study features a Principal Certification that builds skills to evaluate transformational concepts and technologies, conduct meaningful assessments and develop curricula that meet a wide range of learning objectives. This degree is currently offered in both a traditional, face-to-face class format, as well as a hybrid format, featuring a mixture of face-to-face class sessions and online assignments.

required Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) and Texas Teachers Evaluation and
Support System (T-TESS) certificates.

Accreditations and Distinctions
UHCL’s College of Education graduate and undergraduate programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation for both initial teacher preparation and advanced educator preparation. We’re one of only 14 educator preparation programs in Texas to hold this accreditation. The College of Education is also accredited by the State Board for Educator Certification/Texas Education Agency and holds accreditations from a number of organizations for individual specializations and certification programs.
We’ve earned national recognition for accomplishment and innovation, including the Christa McAuliffe Award for Excellence in Teacher Education.
