After Commencement

Diplomas are mailed to graduates after the final approval is received from your college. Honors for qualifying students receiving baccalaureate degrees are determined after we receive all your grades and are posted to your transcript. Diplomas should be mailed to students 10 to 12 weeks after the end of the semester. We use the mailing address of record listed at the close of the semester to mail out diplomas.

Transcripts reflecting final grades and degrees are typically available within 7 to 10 business days after the official closing of the semester. You can order a transcript in person, by mail, or online through E-Services. We do not accept telephone requests.

Any outstanding holds on your record will delay the processing of transcripts or diplomas. All holds will need to be cleared before transcripts and diplomas can be ordered and released. Please contact the Office of the Registrar via email at registrar@uhcl.edu once holds are cleared.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. Completing your degree is an important milestone in your life. And now we are interested in finding out from you what comes next.

If you plan to continue taking courses at UH-Clear Lake after graduating, you need to submit a new application for admission. You can complete that application online at www.uhcl.edu/admissions.
