UH-Clear Lake launched a new campus master plan initiative for UHCL and UHCL Pearland Campus. The master plan will link the university's academic mission and strategic priorities with the physical development of the campuses. It will examine a range of issues, such as accommodation of the campus growth, the open space network, mobility and parking, student life, utility infrastructure, energy, sustainability, and connections with the surrounding community.
An Executive Steering Committee made up of senior campus administrators is leading the master planning effort, and a Master Plan Committee with a broad representation from the campus community will be the primary master plan work group. These committees will provide input on the plan as it evolves.
