Purpose
The purpose of the Unity Club is to discuss and resolve issues pertaining to lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders in the personal, social, and student life of its members, UHCL students and faculty, and the community. The organization will promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender awareness through educational workshops, guest speakers, and community activities that will accentuate the gamut of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender art, literature, academia, and culture. Participation in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender conferences and activities nationwide is encouraged and when deemed pertinent to the collective good of the Unity Club and its community, field trips will be organized.
Membership Requirements
Membership is open to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, gender, gender perception, or financial status.
