Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to provide support for all students with particular emphasis on Muslim students. Goals include:

  1. Securing an appropriate place for obligatory prayers
  2. Promoting interfaith dialogue with other religious organizations
  3. Mentoring new students with retention as a primary goal
  4. Celebrating the festival of EID

Membership Requirements

Everyone: Membership is open to anyone interested in the Islamic faith.

1. Where is Makkah?
Ans: Saudi Arabia
2. Why do Muslim women wear headscarf?
Ans: Women should be modest, and cover their beauties.
3. Can Muslims eat meat?
Ans: Yes, Halal meat (Halal means ‘permissible’ in Arabic. So, Muslims cannot eat foods that are not ‘Halal’) and NO pork.
4. Which month do Muslims fast in?
Ans: Ramadan
5. How many pillars of Islam?
Ans: 5 pillars of Islam
6. How often do Muslims pray?
Ans: 5 times a day.
