Face-to-face class sessions
At the request of UHCL faculty members, reference librarians will provide instruction for a specific class, focusing on information resources and strategies that are appropriate to the subject and discipline or to a specific assignment. Sessions held in the library classroom can accommodate forty students and include hands-on use of online resources. Special arrangements can be made for larger or other classes, including having a librarian visit your classroom.

To schedule an instructional session:

The more advance notice provided, the more likely that your preferred date and time can be accommodated.

Customized online course resources
Are your students required to use numerous electronic resources or portions of the library website? A librarian can create a webpage for your course. The contents range from simple PDF handouts, which include hyperlinks to selected resources, to more elaborate collections of annotated resource links, bibliographies, and library research video tutorials. We create a unique URL for each page to which you can link from your own coursepage or course management software.

Contact your library liaison or Susan Steele, Coordinator of Library Instructional Services, to request this service.
